Usually itīs the bride who is late for the wedding, but we had to wait for the Justice of the peace to show up.  She was out having coffee.  Thanks goodness for cell phones, because the secretary called her to report that  there were 20 people standing in her office and maybe she should think about coming to work today.

Tarifa is pretty relaxed.

They tell me the ceremony was beautiful, but I couldnīt understand all of it because of course it was in Spanish.  But the JP read a beautiful poem and seemed not inconvenineced at all to interuprt her morning at the café to marry us.

Rogelioīs Mom and Dad were our witnesses.  Lola and María, the daughters of our friends Ricardo and Ana, delivered the rings.

And then of course the big kiss....
And just like that, itīs done.  After waiting for my papers for months, the whole wedding took 10 minutes.  Then we signed the papers and it was official.

Afterwards, we were much less nervous.
